About our group:
Our Seagate Recording Media Operations Failure Analysis (RMO FA) Cloud Team oversees the data mesh platform to collect, clean and integrate data generated by users, machine, test and failure analysis tools.
This enables us to have a faster diagnosis on yield and defect issues, and supports our smart factory automation, i4.0 and machine learning projects.
With the new i4.0 technologies being deployed on our factory floors, a huge amount of machine data needs to be transformed into meaningful formats by FA Cloud and meshed with our traditional process and test data to facilitate our decision-making processes.
About the role - you will:
- Obtain a good understanding of overall hard disk media manufacturing and failure analysis processes
- Work with the Process FA engineer to automate failure analysis and data mining work by:
- Designing a web interface for lab inspection work data entry
- Creating a data visualization dashboard for Process Performance Monitoring using Tableau
- Working on machine learning and artificial intelligence projects to automate process anomaly detection

Your experience includes:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other Engineering majors
- Good knowledge of general IT principles related to configuration changes, testing cycles and deployment strategies
- Proficiency in some of the following: SQL Database (MySQL, Hadoop, Hive, Presto)
- Proficiency in Python and in webprogramming (Javascript, PHP)
