- Manage the creation, improvement and implementation of financial policies and procedures for the organization in line with non-profit governance and compliance.
- Oversee the routine generation of timely and accurate internal and external financial reports, including monthly and annual financial statements.
- Provide financial analyses, reports and forecasts to management.
- Advise management in financial decision-making and systems development and improvement.
- Oversee the accuracy of the organizational accounting records and maintain the chart of accounts.
- Establish and monitor adequate internal controls and process improvement.
- Monitor security of organization's financial assets.
- Manage month-end closings and bank reconciliations.
- Support the annual budget and forecasting preparation process.
- Manage the employee expense reports review process.
- Direct completion of the annual financial audit and internal audit.
- Work with the Finance and Investment Committee to review different investment techniques and implement strategies.
- Ensure the safety of the organisation's funds, earning maximum returns and giving ED and Board timely advice to keep up with the market trends.
- Contact point for external relationships, such as auditors, bankers, etc.
- Responsible for developing new / improving current policies and procedures
- Responsible for advising on internal controls and risk matters, and proactively recommend continuous improvement for efficient finance and commercial processes.
- Well versed in charity governance requirements
- Lead in analysis of financial data, efficiency and forecasts
- Able to analyze trends for prediction of future growth / loss
- Monitor organization financial health
- Able to manage contractual agreements, reports and projections
- Able to problem solve and gives attention to details
- Good communicator and confident to make financial presentations to the Board
- Good computer skills
- Able to multi-task
- Degree in Accounting and Finance and/or
- ACCA/CPA Singapore/CA
