Production Engineer

In this role, you will:
- Support the production managers in supervising manufacturing processes and ensuring quality work.
- Perform engineering analysis to reduce defects and improve product quality.
- Investigate production problems, analyse root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standards.
- Develop practices to improve and maximise production capacity, quality and manpower utilisation.
- Assist in driving new projects or development. For example, lean manufacturing, quality and smart manufacturing projects.
- Formulate and implement company 5S and safety policies to create a safe, clean, and organised work environment.
Job Requirements

- Comfortable working with MS Office, especially Excel
- Basic programming skills will be a plus: Python, SQL database
- Comfortable in learning to guide and communicate with operators on structured improvements
- Problemsolving skills to help solve issues quickly and effectively
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Open to new challenges and learning opportunities
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering
Production Engineer Intern
About the role

In this role, you will:
- Job shadow / Onjob training, OJT of Production Engineer to understand cable manufacturing process.
- Understand problems of current methods of manual production data collection with the intent of improving the process flow and to digitize where possible.
- Collect and analyse shop floor data to set baseline targets for production improvement.
- Research and test hypothesis on production parameters we wish to improve.
- Be closely involved in one or two projects relating to factory's productivity or digitalization efforts.
