Production Engineer

In this role, you will:

Support the production managers in supervising manufacturing processes and ensuring quality work.
Perform engineering analysis to reduce defects and improve product quality.
Investigate production problems, analyse root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standards.
Develop practices to improve and maximise production capacity, quality and manpower utilisation.
Assist in driving new projects or development. For example, lean manufacturing, quality and smart manufacturing projects.
Formulate and implement company 5S and safety policies to create a safe, clean, and organised work environment.

Good understanding of industrial control and automation, power systems and PLC systems
Comfortable working with MS Office, especially Excel
Basic programming skills will be a plus: Python, SQL database
Comfortable in learning to guide and communicate with operators on structured improvements

Good verbal and written communication skills
Open to new challenges and learning opportunities
Diploma/Degree in Engineering

Production Engineer Intern

In this role, you will:

Job shadow / Onjob training, OJT of Production Engineer to understand cable manufacturing process.
Understand problems of current methods of manual production data collection with the intent of improving the process flow and to digitize where possible.
Collect and analyse shop floor data to set baseline targets for production improvement.
Research and test hypothesis on production parameters we wish to improve.
Be closely involved in one or two projects relating to factory's productivity or digitalization efforts.
