Responsibilities:


  • Creates, defines, analyzes, and maintains overall System requirements of the Infrastructure between the AVIO software and the customer's systems.
  • Review and maintain documentation and processes coupled and related towards the deployment process to ensure correct and efficient upgrades of customer related information systems.
  • Responsible for working closely with the Operations team to analyze Infrastructural and technical requirements and execute defined tasks.
  • Available to support and troubleshoot overall system installations and upgrades.
  • Contributes to the support of the AVIO software development teams by providing documentation and expertise when required.
  • Must be able to evaluate internal and external documentation in order to gather knowledge and build upon the functionalities of AVIO software and related integration elements.
  • Available for third line support out of office hours for mission critical incidents on a nonfrequent base.
  • The Systems Engineer can be customer facing (mainly internal & to a lesser degree external), and he/she must be able to keep communication lines open and clear
  • External customers are airlines and their internal teams as well as external entities include data suppliers such as Flight Planning Providers, Weather providers, etc.
  • Internal customers include the Product Development Team, Integration Team and the Support Team. You will be part of the operations team

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in field with minimum 3+ years experience or Master's degree in field with 1+ years experience.
  • Strong communicator capable of clearly conveying ideas as well as listening and assimilating information from other sources.
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration systems like docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with infrastructural cloud providers like AWS, Rackspace, google cloud, Azure
  • Experience with operational automated rollout processes like ansible,
  • Experience with open source operating systems like Debian, Oracle Linux,

Others:


  • A rotating schedule of 3 days work, 3 days off will be required.
  • 12 Hour shifts starting from 8am to 8pm Singapore time, or 9am to 9pm during US daylight saving time.
  • Physical Environment: Telework is applicable.
  • Will require to work in office at least 3 days a week
  • Domestic and/or international travel will be required to support customers on site. (level of travel varies and can be on short notice).
  • 3 weeks training in Belgium to start
  • Willing to travel 3 times a year for 12 weeks to Belgium to synchronize with a remote team
