Job summary
Monitors and controls the safe and cost-efficient technical operation of all assigned vessels using the available resources within the defined parameters of cost commercial viability and operational excellence in line with Owners expectations.Responsibilities
- Assists in promoting and supporting BSMs strategic goals
- Understands the contractual agreements with customers to be able to deliver the same with regards to the ship management services for each assigned vessel in a safe and cost efficient manner
- Keeps close contact with clients maintains good working relationships with client representatives who are involved in the operations of companys vessels provides technical and operational support to assigned vessels monitors all vessels trading certificates to ensure compliance with existing maritime legislation safety regulations and operational standard requirements of all regulatory bodies manages all vessel visits audits inspections effectively right from planning to implementation follow up aims at supporting enhancing operational efficiency of assigned vessels responsible for communication promotion implementation of companys health safety environment quality policy on board related technical assists supports sea staff alignment technical requirements assists company initiatives regarding human element ensures ship requisitions handled timely as per QDMS procedures coach engages motivates mentors employees develop strengths build capabilities as per their defined roles personal goal identifies training needs provides on board training ship staff during ship visits actively involves continual improvement process Company Management System maintain compliance customer expectations international national regulations arranges executes Drydock activities regular intervals develops maintains monitors reports budgets assigned vessels monitors effective operation equipment machinery identified discrepancies proposed implemented solutions enhance efficiency performance safety vessels participates development maintenance repairs plan monitored accurate execution identifies skill gaps trainee officers crew members implements corrective action measures improves overall crew competence evaluates effectiveness onboard training programs makes recommendations improvements continually improve Company Training Program Quality Standard ensure continuous learning enhancement knowledge skills personnel monitor evaluate effectiveness onboard programs recommend improvements make recommendations continually improve make recommendation team work cooperation arranged planned executed effectively monitored evaluated communicated promoted implemented company policies practices demonstrated commitment adhered occupational health safety environmental management system ensured application these principles impacted daily tasks responsibilities ensured adherence occupational health safety environmental policies guidelines practiced provided guidance advice leadership mentored motivated engaged developed enhanced knowledge understanding competencies improved tasks performance informed made decisions impacts affected resulted influenced contributed decision making influence affected impacted shaped my approach attitudes behaviors work processes routines.
