About the Automation Manager Role:

Key Responsibilities:

Creating and implementing a comprehensive strategy for automation initiatives aligned with the company's goals and objectives
Identifying, evaluating, and selecting appropriate automation technologies, including robotics, IoT devices, and AI solutions, to optimize operations and improve efficiency
Leading and overseeing the implementation of automation projects, ensuring seamless integration, adherence to timelines, and budget management
Identifying potential risks associated with automation implementation and developing mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure business continuity
Working closely with various departments such as operations, IT, finance, and procurement to gather requirements, ensure alignment with business objectives, and facilitate smooth implementation
Ensuring that automation solutions comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment and legal compliance
Establishing metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance of automated systems, monitoring operations, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Developing training programs for staff to adapt to new automation systems and processes, facilitating a smooth transition and maximizing the benefits of automation
Managing vendor relationships, including selection, contract negotiations, and performance monitoring, to ensure the delivery of high-quality automation solutions
Staying updated on emerging technologies and trends in automation, fostering a culture of innovation, and exploring opportunities for further enhancements and optimization

Key Requirements:

Diploma/degree in Mechatronic Engineering or relevant discipline
Minimum 5 years of warehouse automation experience
Proficiency in automation technologies and material handling equipment
Strategic mindset and ROI optimization skills
Familiarity with industry regulations and vendor management
Change management expertise for staff adoption
