Description

As a member of the Macquarie Global Security team, you will be responsible for leading physical security, crisis management, fraud management, and intelligence in the Asia region.

Responsibilities include the development, implementation, maintenance and oversight of operational security standards, protocols and processes, as well as operational management of security and fraud.

You will also develop and maintain internal and external networks including Macquarie stakeholders, law enforcement, peers, and service providers. Successful execution requires frequent internal collaboration with Technology, HR, Business Services, Legal, Risk Management, business leaders and others.


You will assist the Regional Director of Security with security expertise, strategic initiatives, risk identification, analysis, and mitigation across the Asia region.

You will fully integrate and work as part of the Global Security team, collaborate with peers and colleagues to achieve organizational goals.

You will be a team player and value the ideas, experience, expertise, and collegiality of other team members.

International experience, leadership, innovative thinking, initiative, inquisitiveness, and comfort with ambiguity are key attributes.


Responsibilities
Your primary roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and manage all security related issues and incidents throughout the region, collaborating with key stakeholders on implementation of security standards and policy and incident management.
  • Liaise with law enforcement and external agencies.
  • Conduct physical security audits and inspections of corporate offices and assets.
  • Coordinate with the Business Services Division to maintain access control and CCTV camera systems.
  • Work closely with the regional fraud risk manager and business units to identify and investigate fraud.
  • Provide crisis management leadership including supporting Regional Crisis Management Teams (CMT) and office CMT's.
  • Review and update regional travel advisories and city security briefs. Provide accurate and pragmatic advice for country risk ratings and offer advice and guidance to travellers.
  • Continuously monitor the region and identify areas of risk or potential risk; social or political unrest highlighting key issues that could negatively impact the businesses and/or travellers.
  • Review and approve travel to highrisk locations.
  • Help develop security related training material and development plans. Provide security and fraud awareness training, as well as other specialised trainings.
  • Identify and test technologies to improve business processes and increase efficiencies.
  • Establish strong internal business relationships with key regional business leads concurrently forming strategic partnerships with key stakeholders; e.g. Cyber, HR, Risk Management Group, Business Services Division, Resilience, etc.
  • Contribute to the ROI and metrics program in support of the division's strategic objectives, helping to demonstrate Global Security's value proposition.

Qualifications, experience and skills

  • Have at least 10 years security management experience, preferably including a law enforcement, military, or intelligence agency background.
  • Experience managing financial crimes and fraud investigations

  • Knowledge of cyber risk management.

  • Able to help further the digital transformation of the security and intelligence programs.
  • Able to maintain and improve mechanisms for security intelligence, including risk assessment and disseminate feedback to appropriate internal stakeholders.
  • Able to act as a champion of our Corporate Operations Group culture, strategy, and vision.
