Roles & Responsibilities
The role shall assist and support the Deputy Managing Director for R&D department and Headquarters in the overall direction, management and administration of the following business functions:
**Quality Assurance, Raw Material Research, Package and Safety
- In charge of Quality Assurance, Raw Material Research, Package and Safety team
- To lead and maintain the team, and provide coaching where necessary
- To ensure quality assurance of affiliated companies and manufacturers in the Asia Pacific region.
- To provide guidance in Quality control to factories, sales, and technical departments
- To oversee all manufacturing defects, problems, and complaints in the region
- To ensure company is complying to the Singapore and international regulatory controls on chemical substances in each country, GHS, packaging
- To ensure all packaging technical matter included strategy, new package development, specification of packaging in Asia Pacific region
- To establish good relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and be a bridge between the company, Headquarters and our affiliates and customers in the Asia pacific region
- To execute regional action plans in the various functions and provide necessary expertise advice and support to our Asia Pacific support
Requirements:
- Fluent in English for daily communications with affiliates and staff.
- Able to travel overseas for business trips when necessary, in the Asia Pacific region including India and Pakistan.
- Has at least 10 years of business management experience especially in area of lubricants, research, quality assurance, supply chain, experience in working with multicultural environment and managing various department functions and affiliates.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problemsolving skills.
- Minimum bachelor's degree in Chemistry or other related fields
