Roles & Responsibilities

About the role:

As a Platform Engineer at LTS, you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our AI-driven products and services. Security is paramount to our success. We're seeking a highly skilled AWS Security & Platform Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in building, maintaining, and scaling a secure and reliable AWS infrastructure that supports our custom LLMs.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement NLP systems and algorithms for understanding, generating, and interpreting human language data.
Engage in data engineering tasks, including data collection, preprocessing, and augmentation to ensure high-quality datasets for model training.
Develop from scratch and fine-tune both traditional NLP and LLM models on LTS cloud infrastructure, optimizing for safety and performance (via benchmarks).
Collaborate with domain experts and carry out independent research to optimise and develop product evaluation suites to measure model and product performance.
Collaborate with AI and MLOps Engineers to integrate NLP models into automated pipelines.
Stay abreast of the latest NLP techniques and methodologies, experimenting with new models and approaches to maintain our competitive edge.
Conduct rigorous testing and validation of NLP models to ensure robustness and reliability.
Document and present model development processes, results, and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) with a strong focus on security.
Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.
In-depth understanding of AWS security services and best practices (e.g., least privilege, defense in depth).
Experience with container security principles and tools (e.g., container image scanning, runtime security).
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and secure coding practices.
Experience with cloud monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., CloudWatch) with a focus on security logs.
Experience with data security best practices and tools for data encryption and access control on AWS.
Experience with optimizing costs in AWS environments while maintaining a strong security posture.
AWS certifications desirable (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, AWS Certified Security - Specialty).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong security mindset.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
