    Description

    Reporting to the Group Head of HR, you will partner closely with senior OBU leaders and local HR teams to deliver the full spectrum of strategic and tactical HR services and programs. You will provide direct support to OBU leaders and management team to frame the People agenda that supports the business objectives and driving key initiatives across sites.

    With the support of Group HR Shared Services team and COE functions, this role will work towards delivering a customer-focused and operationally effective HR services covering end-to-end employee lifecycle.

    HR Business Partnering for SEA:

    • With the thorough understand of the business, partner SEA OBUs leaders, functional line management and HQ leadership team to define, recommend, develop, and execute people strategies to achieve business goals.
    • Provide HR advisory service and influence management on aspects of people management and leadership with a focus on organizational development and effectiveness, performance management and leadership effectiveness.
    • Consult with the business's leadership and management to foster and promote the Armstrong's core values' engagement at all levels.
    • Coach people managers on key HR processes such as performance management, compensation and remuneration programs, recruitment practices, and management decision-making.
    • Collaborating with the leadership and management team to identify training gaps and advocate for continuous employee learning. Provide ongoing mentoring support to the SEA OBUs leaders on need to basis.
    • Ensure the SEA OBUs business strategies are supported by Group and HR services and initiatives, thus giving the business its competitive edge within the local market.
    • Support the recruitment activities for the SEA OBUs including identifying current as well as future hiring needs, compensation structure and proposals for senior level positions and crafting of talent sourcing strategies.
    • Lead HR cyclical activities e.g. annual performance review, bonus and merit increment cycle, budget exercise, talent review etc.
    • Support Armstrong's organizational transformation journey which may involve restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, divestments by assessing and providing solutions to mitigate risks factors related to HR such as employee attrition, succession planning, driving compliance with applicable SEA laws and regulations.

    Regional HR Projects

    • Drive and implement cross-functional HR strategies and projects aimed building a high-performance culture backed by efficient work processes and high team synergies.
    • Translate Group/ Regional strategy into country specific needs and through the support of in-country HR team, ensure the success of local implementation of HR programs and initiatives.
    • Project-manage the implementation of Group HR projects across all domains such as Talent Management, Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations etc.
    • Act as a trusted advisor between HQ and the SEA OBUs on all HR related matters / projects.
    • Actively contribute to the HR community to enhance the HR network and infuse country perspectives into Regional perspectives.
    • All other ad-hoc tasks / projects assigned.

    HR Services of SEA OBUs

    • Oversee full range of HR services provided by local HR team, ensuring they are aligned to Group HR directives and policies and comply to local employment regulations.
    • Provide guidance and be a mentor to local HR teams to strengthen the overall competency of Armstrong HR team.

    Requirements

    • Possess a Bachelor's degree from a reputable university.
    • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience with at least 3 years in HR business partnering. Prior experience managing a team is a plus.
    • Knowledge in multiple HR disciplines including, compensation practices, organizational design, performance management, talent acquisition, employment laws, employee relations and diversity. Experience designing and implementing Rewards program is a plus.
    • Ability to communicate with stakeholders of different levels to negotiate, influence, problem solve and impact decision making.
    • Assertive and demonstrates sound judgment and experience in assessing risks and providing HR advisory to the stakeholders
    • Ability to analyze data and identify trends and provide sound recommendations for inventions based on the analysis
    • Strong work ethics, accountability and ownership of work
    • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage multiple projects successfully in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivery of quality/accurate work products
    • Logical reasoning and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues.
    • Ability to work both independently and within teams in order to establish and meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.

    Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin is an important required due to the Group's sizeable presence in the China market.
