For this internship role, you will be joining the Finance team based in Singapore (HQ) where you will learn how Finance plays an integral role to the respective businesses (Garena, Shopee, and SeaMoney). Gain handson experience, hone your skills, and contribute meaningfully to our finance operations.
As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to engage in a variety of impactful tasks, making meaningful contributions to the finance team

You will:

Engage actively in the month end closing process, and witness firsthand how financial data is consolidated and reported accurately.
Collaborate with our local finance teams to review journal postings, and understand how finance professionals ensure precision and compliance.
Contribute to the preparation of group journals that shape segment adjustments, and gain perspectives into how financial adjustments influence our financials.
Be exposed to management reporting focusing on Profit and Loss (PnL) reports and working capital analyses, and sharpen your financial analysis skills.
Prepare for audit activities including audit reconciliation and deliverables, and acquire a deeper understanding of our financial review processes.
Interact with a wide range of stakeholders across departments, regions and cultures, and hone your communication and collaboration skills.
Take on adhoc projects, and broaden your skill sets and perspectives on our financial operations.

Job Requirements:

Are you ready to embark on this learning journey? Here's what we are looking for in our ideal intern:
Currently an undergraduate in the second year of study or beyond, majoring in Accountancy or a related field.
Thrives in a fastpaced environment, and demonstrates the ability to work independently while embracing new challenges.
Brings attention to detail and communication skills to our team, and contributes to our commitment to accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for this role; familiarity with SQL and/or Python is a plus.
