What the role is

  • You will be part of the Manpower Planning & Strategy (MP&S) Division which is responsible for the review and implementation of manpower plans and strategies to ensure sufficient qualified healthcare manpower for Singapore. You will facilitate the smooth functioning of Human Capital Group (HCG) and the MP&S Division by being the key liaison for both the Group Director (HCG) and Director (MP&S), with the staff within MP&S and from other parts of MOH as well as external stakeholders in the public healthcare sector such as the public healthcare institutions and healthcare agencies.

You will gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and challenging environment that would sharpen your stakeholder management skills and develop your communication and interpersonal competencies.


What you will be working on

  • You will support the grant administration (e.g. budget management and cyclical disbursements) for manpower schemes and programmes overseen by MP&S' Manpower Planning Branches.

You will also assist both Group Director (HCG) and Director (MP&S) in the administrative aspects of day-to-day running of their Group and Division respectively, including the organising of meetings, managing their schedules, as well as to provide support in record keeping to achieve good knowledge management for the Group.

To ensure a smooth functioning of the division's workflow and to build your familiarity with government procurement processes, you will also help to provide general administrative support, including but not limited to raising purchase requests, creating purchase orders, processing invoices, managing the staff welfare and coordinating of other logístical tasks for the division.
