Description

To supervise, coordinate and direct various functions appointed by Chief Steward, ensuring that standards of preparations and services are in line with hotel's standards.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Ensure all functions/events are fully set in accordance to requirements/ instructions as stated in Banquet Event Order and responsible for the smooth running of functions.
  • Supervise, delegate and train associates to ensure they can perform their job effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of all back areas and proper storage of all equipments.
  • Assist Chief Steward to maintain labour and operating cost within budget and plan manpower in accordance to forecast events.
  • Discuss all functions and outlets operating requirements with respective F&B and culinary team; ensuring sufficient par to support their operations.
  • Assist Chief Steward to work closely with respective outlets and culinary team to minimize and control breakages.
  • Assist in pest control and sanitation issues for front and back of the house.
  • Supervise night cleaning works ensuring that the contractors complete their tasks in accordance to our standards.
  • Work closely with Engineering on maintenance issues, to ensure the operating equipments are safe and in good working condition.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, health and safety within the work area.
