    We are looking to provide a learning opportunity for an Intern to assist the NPD Wellness team in delivering innovation projects for Haleon Consumer Health R&D.

    Name & Title of Hiring Manager : New Product Development (NPD) Principal Scientist - Wellness

    Number of internship positions : 1

    Preferred Period of Internship Required : June 2024 – December 2024

    Preferred School/Course of Intern: Undergraduate students majoring in Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Engineering or related science (Food science).

    The Intern will work under the supervision of the NPD Principal Scientist for the Wellness category and collaborate with other functions in Commercial, Innovation, Manufacturing, Medical, Regulatory, Insights and R&D Scientists in the company to provide appropriate and timely input into our R&D projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    You will be required to:

  • Perform comprehensive, sophisticated and critical evaluation of technical data during product development phase.
  • Coordinate discussion and close collaboration with cross functional teams and successfully integrate their inputs to charted key NPD milestone.
  • Preparation of technical reports/ presentations.
  • Assist NPD-Wellness team in create technical and product understanding research plans to fit overall project deliverables.,
  • Supports the team with other miscellaneous product related project/ development activities when required.

    Throughout the course of the internship, you will attain the following learning objectives:

  • Learn about strategic product development with exposure to strategic NPD planning process and what it takes to launch a product in the market.
  • Acquire a strong technical understanding on the requirements to deliver innovation.
  • Gain hands-on in-depth analytical skills by researching, analysing and reviewing technical data information.
  • Serve as the voice of the consumer when developing innovation opportunities.
  • Exposure to highly matrixed environment and experience of partnering with different functional teams.

  • Educational background – Undergraduates currently pursuing a Degree in Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Engineering or related science (Food science).
