    Description
    Roles & Responsibilities

    Reporting to General Manager, Waste Collection Division (WCD), you will lead a team and responsible to provide leadership and direction for fleet and equipment readiness and maintenance activities for SembWaste Pte Ltd to ensure smooth running, ensuring compliance with all regulatory, statutory, company standards and requirements.

    Fleet Management - Manage and monitor safety and efficiency of the operation teams, ensuring all equipment (heavy vehicles, compactors) and activities are roll-out in accordance with regulatory guidelines and customers' demands and contractual obligations, to maximise the profitability of operations through well designed procurement strategies and vendor management.

    Budget Management – Plan and prepare annual budget, expenditures and analyse all financial objective.

    Process Enhancement & System Development - To review and lead continuous enhancement on processes and system implementation to ensure efficiency, and effectiveness. Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.

    Cost Optimisation - To review, endorse and implement annual budget for P&M; review staffing, equipment, and supply needs based on recent trends and planned activities; monitors expenditures after budget adoption; monitor equipment and supply needs based on trending analysis and planned activities to ensure cost savings is achieved

    Vendor Management - Responsible to conduct market survey research to identify potential vendors for strategic sourcing initiatives and working closely with Business Development team and VCM to examine and propose solution/enhancement on types of procurement activities and processes. Proactive in the industry and vendors' activities where the business has the competitive edge to grow.

    Incident Management - Ensure zero accident occurrences in workshop/on-site and adherence to all health and safety guidelines.

    Job Requirements

    • Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronic / Civil & Structural Engineering.
    • At least 10 years of relevant working experience, with 5 years in managerial role and strong technical background in resource intensive, logistics, fleet management or waste management industry.
    • Strong analytical and planning skills, project management and time management skills.
    • Demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills.
