Your mission is to transform the way we engage and retain customers through exceptional, human-centered design.

As the Product Design Lead for the Customer tribe, you will use your expertise in design and customer psychology to deepen customer relationships.

You will lead your tribe in innovating based on data-driven insights and feedback to drive retention and transform users into fans and lifelong customers.


You will lead experience design in the Customer tribe, working in tandem with another Product Design Lead in the Acquisition tribe, supported by two senior designers.

You will work closely with senior product leadership, commercial and marketing teams to set out the roadmap and execute on scalable solutions by expertly balancing user needs with business goals.


Responsibilities:


  • You will lead and manage the design team in the Customer tribe, ensuring smooth and fluid collaboration and efficient processes with other design, product and tech teams
  • Develop and drive the design vision and strategy for the Customer tribe, alongside your product and engineering counterparts. Determine business opportunities, be accountable for design KPIs, and translating insights into customerfacing experiences
  • Be the voice of the customer within the organization. You need to champion their needs to ensure they're at the forefront of every design decision
  • Collaborating with your counterpart Design Lead in the Acquisition tribe to ensure all MoneySmart products work seamlessly together
  • Ensure quality control against all work created by the product design team in the Customer tribe
  • You will be expected to execute on excellent, customercentric, endtoend designs in your squad
  • Conduct user research when necessary and use qualitative and quantitative data to make informed design decisions
  • Effectively communicate design visions and decisions to stakeholders, and manage timelines and resourcing in the Customer tribe

Requirements:


  • Min. 6 years experience working in UX/UI, or Product Design roles, and at least 2 years within that period as a Product Design Lead
  • Experience working in an agile, crossdisciplinary team
  • Experience in conducting user research and testing, leveraging qualitative and quantitative data to inform your design decisions
  • Firsthand experience working with web mobile, responsive frontend frameworks and design systems
  • Firm grasp of prototyping methods, documentation and design tools
  • Portfolio highlighting shipping features and products, with case studies showcasing what you've done, and the impact of your work on the business. Samples of wireframes and mockups are good; living and breathing products are excellent
  • Good project management skills
  • Having experience working with customer engagement platforms or loyalty programmes is a plus
  • You must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, whether in oneonone or group situations. You're confident in communicating complex ideas, flows, goals and problems in a way that is accessible even to those unfamiliar with the project
  • Understand the underlying interactive technologies for hardware, software, web and mobile. Employs a broad set of design tools to best solve and communicate user flows, interaction and motion, and knows which tool to use depending on scope and phase of the project
  • Experience in design systems and balancing existing visual and UX patterns with platformspecific patterns to ensure a consistent, intuitive experience
  • Ensure effective and empathetic feedback loops and highquality work across designers in your tribe
  • You're also a strong advocate for a designled culture in the business, identifying and organizing opportunities (internal or external speaking engagements, local meetups, participating in open source projects, writing blog posts, etc.) to spread design thinking and customerenthusiasm in MoneySmart
  • You must be a strong people leader and mentor to more junior designers across multiple design teams
