Assistant Content Standards Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure Content Code compliance in all our locally produced and acquired Chinese programme broadcasts on FTA-TV Channels, mewatch and online/socials.

Scope

Keen awareness of local social/community sensitivities in programming for content broadcast on Ch8/ChU and mewatch.
Knowledgeable of local and regional political and bilateral concerns of the day.
Possess a general understanding of local laws & regulations.
Ability to comprehend Chinese dialects is helpful.
Possess good English writing skills for effective communications on compliance matters with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Vetting of Chinese content (from local and foreign studios) for Code compliance across different platforms.
Assessment of preproduction scripts and highlighting of potential concerns in local content.
Ability to make editorial amendments to mitigate content issues and sensitivities.
Recommend appropriate consumer advisory ratings and scheduling suitability of programmes.
Craft engaging synopses for acquired programmes for media / press release.
Work closely with Programming / Marketing / Scheduling / Subtitling & Sales teams in achieving our Corporate goals.
