    Description

    Purpose of role

    You will be a part of the Compliance and Approvals Team. We remove the barriers to accessing markets to make sure that Dyson products are met the regulations and standards.

    We are responsible for ensuring that all Dyson products comply with all relevant regulations, standards and legislation in over 90 countries. We use internationally recognised standards to demonstrate compliance as well as country or region-specific standards.

    This role has regulatory affairs responsibilities include define regulatory compliance strategy, product submissions for New Product Development and Sustaining activities as assigned by the reporting manager. The role will require the oversight and management of legacy / New Product Introduction product registration projects such as license renewals, periodic updates and registrations to regulatory agencies, quality system compliance and audits, post market support (regulatory reporting), and continuous process improvement project involvement.You will work closely with cross-functional teams to prepare and submit regulatory documents, provide guidance on regulatory strategies, and monitor changes in regulations that impact our products.

    Accountabilities

    • Collaborate with RDD teams in enabling product development from compliance and approvals aspect.
    • Analyse management and technical controls to ensure that cybersecurity and compliance requirements are met through the verification of documented processes, procedures, and standards to validate maintenance of secure configurations.
    • Develop key performance metrics to track and ensure compliance with established policies and standards. Work out the realistic solution to have security risk issues and requirements fixed or fulfilled.
    • Research and provide guidance according to appropriate standard on protective software and software functional requirement for Household and ITE product (UL, IEC Standards, EU RED Directives).
    • Determines protective software approvals requirements, test scope, develops a preliminary plan of compliance, and determines project specifications such as cost, lead time, and sample requirements by analysing product information with Electronic software team.
    • Involved and ensure all the test activities are carried out strictly according to the appropriate international test standards for home appliances (UL / IEC / EU directives).
    • Consolidated findings or any non-compliance / test concerns to be discussed with Senior Engineer before communicating to the Project Design Team for immediate attention.
    • Working with Certification bodies such as Intertek, CQC-China, JQA-JP, and SIRIM/ST-Malaysia for product certification.

    Skills

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, with product compliance experience desired.
    • At least 3-5 years experience on a broad range of Product Safety Compliance duties
    • Working knowledge of international compliance standards and requirements
    • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and cross-functional expertise across multiple operational and security disciplines
    • Project management skill is preferred
