    Roles & Responsibilities

    Role:

    Process Engineer will support and drive quality control and root cause investigations for both internal (IQC) and external (OTB and customer defect) findings. Both types of findings require working closely with various departments such as Supplier Quality, Production, Quality Management and RND. He/she is responsible to coordinate for short term containment as well as recommending appropriate improvements for prevention of recurrence.

    Process Engineer is responsible for the process control of assigned product and using statistical process control methods, he/she is required to review and analyse data to ensure process stability. He/she will develop critical process metrics that can be monitored on a regular basis and resolving bottlenecks at the root cause. Process control also includes periodic review and updating of all work procedures and checklists in accordance with ISO9001 standards. He/she is required to develop and maintain FMEA and control plans for the assigned processes.

    As a stakeholder in Product Sustaining Group (PSG), he/she will support PSG in technical queries for manufacturing process when required. He/she will contribute to the review and approval of engineering changes, provide recommendations of improvements and ensuring change is implemented in Production/System Acceptance. In the event of line down due to defect, he/she is also responsible to escalate any topics to PSG for discussion and resolution.

    As a stakeholder of the product, he/she will conduct risk assessment with other stakeholders such as Quality Management, Production and Supplier Quality to highlight any product or human related safety risks for discussion and resolution.

    Process Engineer will be involved in projects such as product knowledge transfer between site and will be a stakeholder for make. He/she will be responsible for ensuring all processes are set-up, execute and plan training, and supporting make activities in accordance to the project milestones. Other type of projects includes improvements where Process Engineer will be required to initiate or participate in the fruition ideas for cost improvement of the products.

    Responsibilities:

    • Monitors the KPI targets of FPY, DPM and OTB.
    • Analysis of defect trends and engaging stakeholders to resolve defects at root cause.
    • Customer and OTB investigation and analysis.
    • Reviewing of test data of assigned product group and ensuring stability
    • Update of internal work procedures and checklists for product groups.
    • Develop FMEA and control plans of processes assigned.
    • Evaluate engineering changes of assigned product through team centre.
    • Provide technical expertise of manufacturing process to PSG.
    • Escalation of topics to PSG for technical support in event of line down.
    • Providing expertise on build, test, and technical knowledge during projects.
    • Participate in training and setting up of processes.
    • Reviewing of manufacturing practices for risks in Product and Safety risk with stakeholders.
    • Recommendation of measures for risk reduction and mitigation.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor of Engineering (relevant field)
    • Min 1-3 years working experience in Manufacturing or Automation environment
    • Ability to interface with different department and stakeholders
    • Critical thinking and analytical skills
