    Roles & Responsibilities

    We are seeking an experienced Research Fellow specialized in intellectual property (IP) development and patents within the wastewater treatment sector. This role is integral to our mission of innovating and commercializing eco-friendly, cost-effective wastewater solutions using cutting-edge electrochemistry technology.

    What you will be doing

    • Innovation and Research: Lead exploratory research projects to innovate and enhance our technology, focusing on areas ripe for intellectual property creation.
    • Intellectual Property Management: Develop strategies for IP protection, including drafting, filing, and prosecuting patents, and managing the company's IP portfolio.
    • Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with R&D and product development teams to identify patentable inventions, ensure IP protection strategies align with product development, and advise on potential IP challenges.
    • Technology Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of existing technologies and market trends to identify opportunities for IP development and potential patent infringements to avoid.
    • Legal Coordination: Liaise with legal advisors and patent offices to navigate the patent landscape, ensuring compliance with international IP laws and regulations.
    • Publication and Advocacy: Publish research findings in reputable scientific journals and represent Hydroleap at conferences, contributing to the company's reputation as a leader in the field.
    • Educational Outreach: Mentor junior researchers and engineers on IP matters, fostering an environment of continuous learning and innovation.

    Your Capabilities and Credentials

    • MSc or PhD in Chemical or Environmental engineering
    • Demonstrated experience in research with a significant track record of intellectual property development, including patent drafting and filing.
    • Familiar and interested in water/wastewater treatment processes
    • Familiar with water treatment processes and lab equipments
    • Familiar and interested in scientific paper reading, research and lab work
    • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills, with proficiency in research methodologies and patent databases.
    • Commitment to the task assigned, self initiative and problem solving skill
