    Description

    Assistant Professor Positions in Climate Science

    • The Asian School of the Environment (ASE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore is looking to hire an Assistant Professor in Climate Science. Applications are welcome in various areas of tropical climate research, such as atmospheric observation, tropical urban climate, and regional to global scale climate modeling.

    ASE values diversity and fosters inclusivity. They encourage applications from all individuals based on merit, regardless of age, race, gender, religion, marital status, family responsibilities, or disability.

    • Applicants should hold a PhD in atmospheric science, earth science, environmental science, or a related field, with demonstrated impactful research in climate science. Factors considered include past outputs, current research, potential for future funding, enthusiasm, and research leadership in tropical climate science.
    • Prior experience in tropical climate dynamics is advantageous but not mandatory.
    • The ideal candidate will have the ability to develop a top-tier research program, engage in student education and mentorship, and contribute to societal and environmental impact in Singapore and the surrounding region. Collaboration with NTU, Singapore, and Southeast Asia research groups is encouraged.
    • Teaching responsibilities at undergraduate and postgraduate levels within ASE are expected.

    Emoluments and General Terms & Conditions of Service

    • The starting salary is competitive and will depend on the candidate's qualifications and experience. The University provides a comprehensive fringe benefit package.
