Roles & Responsibilities

We're looking for an energetic, positive, and driven maritime industry professional who is well versed in tanker chartering operations and charter parties. You are meticulous, always on top of things and keen to improving things.

This role in a rapidly growing tech startup provides the suitable candidate with superb growth prospects. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you are responsible to:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the operations team
• Provide guidance to the junior team members and customers
• Manage internal Vessel Management Service ("VMS") module in the system
• Respond to customers to address VMS queries
• Lead, Manage, Accountable for execution & performance of full team functions
• Set goals & develop plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
• Make decisions guided by resource availability, policies, processes, business plan
• Plan and Control resources and processes formation

The Successful Applicant should have:

• Min 5 years of operations experience in a ship owner or an operator outfit
• Min 2 years' experience in managing a team and coordinating across teams
• Familiarity in vessel operations, including vessel chartering, voyage management, port disbursements, demurrage & laytime calculation
• Resilience to thrive in a VUCA environment
• A solution-driven approach to business & operations with conviction in solving problems
• An open mindset and a tremendously positive attitude
