Our esteemed client develops and innovate products and solutions for processing plants in challenging industries. They are seeking for a Equipment Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in design and fabrication of static equipment The position will be based in
Singapore or Malaysia.

Job summary

Key job responsibilities include:


  • Evaluate vendors quotations and conduct technical clarifications to ensure the design meets regulatory, code, class, customer requirements/ specifications.
  • Review vendor drawings, calculations, and quality documents.
  • Check compliance of mechanical design with international codes, practices, and customer specifications, as well as local code requirement in specific Asian countries
  • Prepare equipment (e.g. pressure vessel, heat exchanger etc.)
technical calculations and documents; including (but not limited to):
design calculations according to code, specification sheets of mechanical equipment (e.g. pressure vessel, rotating equipment, ejector, etc.)

  • Review possible technical risks in mechanical scope / design and propose possible mitigation of such risks.
  • Ensure engineeringrelated project documents are complete, current, and maintained/stored appropriately.
  • Attend inspections activities as per (Inspection, Test Plan) ITP of mechanical equipment. Witness and review (Non
  • Destructive Test) NDT and reports.
  • Assist PM to expedite (mechanical) vendors/suppliers/subcontractors and/or take care equipment fabrication schedule and quality.
  • Establish (Factory Acceptance Test) FAT, (Site Acceptance Test) SAT, and commissioning procedures (for mechanical equipment), where necessary.
  • Reporting and documentation (e.g. FAT test report, SAT, punchlist report) and followup.
  • Field work to verify existing conditions and/or to supervise/support site installation and construction activities, where required.
  • Assist plant commissioning, startup and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment; contact and coordinate vendors, if need; provide precommissioning advice related to mechanical equipment
  • Represent company interests in all aspects of the contract or project (including the interests of other Business Units)
  • Maintain good relations and contact with customer, and all relevant supplier, internal team, and others.
  • Taking responsibility for own work, and assist others in their work, to ensure successful completion of project.
  • Act quickly on queries from others, work to schedule and specification or contract requirement and ensure ontime delivery of tasks assigned.
  • Manage/monitor technical aspects from multiple projects concurrently, and ensuring budget and schedule are maintained.

Key Job requirements include:


  • Strong customer service attitude, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills, for developing and implementing solutions to problems with assigned projects.
  • Required Skill (s): AutoCAD, PV Elite/Compress & Microsoft skills.
  • Knowledge in pressure vessel, heat exchanger engineering and inspections.
  • Experienced with ASME BPVC, TEMA
  • Familiarity with equipment painting and coating practices
  • NDT certification (e.g. PT, RT, UT, etc) will be an added advantage
  • Teamplayer
  • Safety awareness on site
  • Willingness to travel
  • Fluent in written and spoke English
