The Senior Data Engineer will play a pivotal role within the Global Network Services organization, focusing on data governance, management, automation, and delivery. With a deep understanding of data integrity, standards, cleaning, qualifying, and storage, the role emphasizes leading the adoption of standardized enterprise data platforms to optimize data practices within the networking teams. Additionally, they will gather information on the data needs of various teams within the network organization while delivering data pipelines to support downstream automations, reporting, and maintain sources of truth such as CMDB and ITSM. Comprehensive documentation for these initiatives is essential, and occasional availability during evening hours may be required due to our global presence and collaboration with teams across different time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Data Platform & Technical architects, integration, and networking teams to capture inbound/outbound data pipeline requirements and develop solutions.
Develop scalable and automated data pipelines and data models for a variety of network use cases.
Detail the dataflows, data lineages, code, and logic, ensuring comprehensive documentation for all initiatives.
Implement and enforce data governance and standards to ensure consistency and reliability across network data.
Continuously optimize existing data integrations, data models, and views while developing new features to meet business needs.
Engage with top network data consumers to frame and understand their data use cases & value propositions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of demonstrated ability in data engineering with a strong focus on data integrity, standards, cleaning, qualifying, and storage.
Extensive expertise in ELT Tools, data transformation tools, and cloud services.
Solid grasp of CI/CD processes, git versioning, and warehouse optimizations.
Experience with data orchestration workflows using opensource tools like Glue or Dataflow.
Excellent analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, teamplayer with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience collaborating with network engineering and operations teams.
Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as ServiceNow.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban work processes.
Experience with ServiceNow, Jenkins, Atlassian Suite, HashiCorp Vault, and/or Robot Framework.
Understanding of multicloud networking solutions.
Experience leading development life cycle processes and proven methodologies.
Solid grasp of software development methodologies.
Knowledge of networking technologies, protocols, and architectures.
