Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

· Lead mechanical design on energy storage system.

· Define requirements and specifications of battery pack, cooling system and fire protection system, and develop system layout, components (Battery back, PCS, FS, HVAC etc.) placement and cable connection, cabinet/container.

· Create 3D model and 2D drawing, BoM and conduct load, vibration, CFD analysis.

· Understand UL/CE or related regulations, and DFA/DFM.

· Source and manage external suppliers, coordinate internal procurement and factory to ensure product design to meet cost requirements, quality expectations and timelines.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or above in mechanical engineering, thermal engineering, industrial engineering, or related.
3+ years of experience in mechanical/thermal design or equivalent on BESS, UPS, power grid, power electronics products, especially in containerized ESS, solar energy, high voltage power conversions.
Solid engineering fundamentals on battery, mechanics, HVAC, cooling of electronics, GD&T.
Hands on experience in CAD/CAE tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, Ansys.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Being a good team player.

Preferably:

Know-how on modelling and analysing lithium-ion battery cells, modules and packs.
