Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to identify pain points and best angles to close leads with a high conversion rate
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer networks and relationships
  • Build a strong pipeline of high potential projects that focusses on identified market verticals
  • Negotiate and close projects by striking a good balance between sales revenue and sales margin keeping in mind shortterm and longterm objectives
  • Develop scaling and growth strategies and plans to execute
  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, to network and provide feedback and information on market trends
  • Prepare proposals and present them to prospective customers
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Handle account management matters and be the point of contact for customers
  • Work well crossdepartmentally with the Operations team for fulfilment
  • Work well crossdepartmentally with the Research & Development team to provide resources and information to drive successful closure and implementation for customers
  • Analyse the market's potential and hunt for underutilised ways of gaining more market share
  • Provide management with sales and status reports on customer needs, problems, interests, and potential for new products and services as well as any pricing feedback
  • Other adhoc duties as required

Requirements & Experience:


  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales, with an added advantage for having operated in the construction or paint and coatings industry
  • Hunterlike personality who is not afraid of developing new markets and customers
  • Ability to learn to use various tech stacks as necessary, including ERP systems
  • Familiarity with CRM practices and systems
  • Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
  • High degree of empathy and people skills
  • Prioritisation, time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • Collaborative and a team player attitude
  • A desire to grow professionally and make a difference in the world, guiding and shaping a promising startup
  • Fluency in English is required, proficiency in other languages used in the market is a strong advantage
