Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Ability to identify pain points and best angles to close leads with a high conversion rate
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer networks and relationships
- Build a strong pipeline of high potential projects that focusses on identified market verticals
- Negotiate and close projects by striking a good balance between sales revenue and sales margin keeping in mind shortterm and longterm objectives
- Develop scaling and growth strategies and plans to execute
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, to network and provide feedback and information on market trends
- Prepare proposals and present them to prospective customers
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
- Handle account management matters and be the point of contact for customers
- Work well crossdepartmentally with the Operations team for fulfilment
- Work well crossdepartmentally with the Research & Development team to provide resources and information to drive successful closure and implementation for customers
- Analyse the market's potential and hunt for underutilised ways of gaining more market share
- Provide management with sales and status reports on customer needs, problems, interests, and potential for new products and services as well as any pricing feedback
- Other adhoc duties as required
Requirements & Experience:
- Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales, with an added advantage for having operated in the construction or paint and coatings industry
- Hunterlike personality who is not afraid of developing new markets and customers
- Ability to learn to use various tech stacks as necessary, including ERP systems
- Familiarity with CRM practices and systems
- Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
- High degree of empathy and people skills
- Prioritisation, time management and organisational skills
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
- Collaborative and a team player attitude
- A desire to grow professionally and make a difference in the world, guiding and shaping a promising startup
- Fluency in English is required, proficiency in other languages used in the market is a strong advantage
