Job Purpose
The Cybersecurity Engineering Intern is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the information security tooling and infrastructure. This individual works as part of a results-oriented, service-delivery team and assists other disciplines within the Information Security team.

Additionally, the Cybersecurity Engineering Intern performs ticket queue triage, working within security tools to tune for specific use cases, performs root cause analysis of problems and works with groups for resolution, and actively participates in deeply technical discourse.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of information security solutions and tooling
  • Tune cybersecurity infrastructure for security improvements and operational constraints
  • Work on assigned tasks to help implement new security technologies/tools
  • Evaluate, test, and integrate new security controls, settings and security tools
  • Provide technical analysis, resolve problems, and propose solutions
  • Provide support to, and coordinate with, developers, operations staff, release engineers, Incident Response, GRC, Red Team, and other disciplines
  • Communication to various teams on infosec tools and systems
  • Triage ticket queue for Cybersecurity Engineering

Knowledge and Experience

  • Working towards a degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience preferred
  • Analytics and problem solving needed
  • Ability to work in a serviceoriented team environment
  • Must have good organizational skills and time management skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and business resources

Schedule
This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week.
