    Role Description

    This is a full-time on-site role for a Shipping Operations Junior Executive located in Singapore. The Shipping Operations Junior Executive plays a key role in ensuring smooth shipping operations for the company.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform all tasks of post-deal operations from contract to claim to ensure all operations are handled professionally for the company's benefit and safety
    • Prepare contracts, upon conclusion of deal (by traders), in accordance to deal recap
    • Coordinate with traders for ship/shipping operation, and loading and pricing dates
    • Check on operational matters, loading dates, cargo readiness and berth availability
    • Nominate vessel for clearance with terminal, confirm terminal conditions with shipowners and request for stowage/loading plans
    • Nominate and appoint mutually agreed joint surveyor
    • Declare requirements for cargo marine insurance to underwriters and subsequently provide actual loading details
    • Prepare documentary instructions in accordance to trade facilities' requirements
    • Prepare voyage orders to vessel and ensure ETA notices are promptly/properly disseminated
    • Handle trade finance operations ensuring all securities are in place prior to cargo loading (issue/receive trade securities)
    • Ensure operations are carried out smoothly; vessel arrives within laycan, coordinate with agent for berthing, check quality and quantity of cargo with surveyor to minimize losses, etc.
    • Check that all loading documents are issued in good order
    • Ensure vessel performs voyage as per Charterparty conditions
    • Provide discharge orders to vessel and prepare discharge LOI to owners for discharge
    • Prepare post-deal documentation such as demurrage claims, quality and quantity claims, freight payments
    • Deliver Trade Transaction Operations and related reports for proper monitoring
    • Any other tasks as assigned by the management
