    Roles & Responsibilities

    Process Safety Engineer

    Responsibilities

    · Participate in field walk-down for PSSR, PHA and HAZOP reviews, follow-ups and completes the required action items.

    · Responsible in making sure all HAZOPs action items are tracked to closure and actions are closed in accordance to acceptable engineering practices.

    · Responsible in developing an action plan to follow and close out all action items developed with full robustness.

    · ⁠Carry out assessment for Explosive Protection Document and ensure measures are put in place to develop an inherently safe work place based on hazard mitigation through engineering controls.

    · Responsible for managing on the need to use the "Exposure assessments for hazardous substances: CMR1, regulated chemicals and OEB4/5 in manufacturing.

    · Prepare the site for all HSE audits (internal and external); such as SS651 and Factory Mutual audits and etc.

    · Assist in developing HSE training need analysis for the site and ensure appropriate training qualifications are being assigned to individuals per company standards and local regulatory requirements.

    · Maintain and develop HSE metrics and statistic, track and routinely communicate to management.

    · Lead and conduct incident investigations and actively participate in root-cause analysis on HSE and process related matters.

    · Assist in tracking and performing gap analysis to meet compliance to the relevant corporate and local regulatory (MOM, SCDF, NEA, HSA, SPF etc.) standards

    · Support HSE personnel when required regarding safety and environmental matters such as Safety Promotions, Fit test, Daily Tool Box Talks, carrying out initial investigations of incidents and etc.

    · Carry out any other task as assigned by the department pertaining to Health and Safety.

    Qualifications & Experiences

    1. Minimum Degree and/or a Masters in Chemical Engineering

    2. Between 2 to 5 years' experience in a similar industry and have led and participated in Process Safety

    3. Ability to make decision and work independently with very little supervision.

    4. Ability to manage multiple programs and timelines and able to lead and influence cross functional teams.

    5. Equipped with high initiative, energy and good problem-solving skills.

    6. Able to develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers including associate service providers.

    7. Ability to communicate well and influence at all levels of the organization.
