Regional Accounting Manager (Medical Device)

Our client is a leading global MNC in the device and instruments business and has their regional headquarters for Asia Pacific based in Singapore.

Financial Accounting and Reporting & budgeting process

1. Manage the full set of accounts for Australia and any other new entities that may be added from time to time.
2. Ensure the delivery of accurate, timely and meaningful accounting reports that are in compliance with accounting policies,
3. Oversee financial reporting packs on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis to the management and be strong in technical accounting.
4. Perform accounting month-end closing tasks and reconciliations, including preparation of consolidated balance sheet, gross margin
5. Work closely with corporate counterparts to ensure all intercompany transactions and balances are eliminated for group consolidation purpose.
6. Manage corporate and other statutory tax filings like quarterly GST return
7. Manage transformational activities as the company is going through system implementation, new upgrades in consolidation and reporting tools.

We need a forward thinking, agile and self starter accounting manager. This role would also be hands on in closing the books and will be an Individual contributor role managing third party accounting teams.

Successful Applicant

• Tertiary qualification or equivalent in Accounting, Business, Finance and/or CA/CPA qualification is a must.

• Minimum 8 years in an accounting-based role in a large organisation/SME or Chartered Accounting and has an experience of managing outsourced accounting firm will be a big plus.

• Experience in SAP, Hyperion and other related tools will be helpful.
