    Job Description & Requirements

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated academic English language teacher to join our team of educators. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a deep understanding of English language pedagogy.

    As a full-time academic English language teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to students of all levels, assessing student progress, and contributing to the ongoing development of the English language curriculum.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and deliver high-quality lessons to students of all levels, utilising a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet diverse student needs.
    • Assess student progress through a range of methods, including formative and summative assessments, and provide feedback to students and their families as needed.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective English language curriculum, including lesson plans, assessments, and materials.
    • Participate in professional development activities to continuously improve teaching skills and knowledge of English language pedagogy.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, attendance, and grades.
    • Communicate regularly with students, families, and colleagues to foster a positive learning environment and promote student success.

    Requirements & Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in English language teaching, TESOL, TEFL, TESOL or CELTA required (in lieu of experience).
    • At least 1-2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an academic setting.
    • Confident in teaching adults primarily but must be able to teach children as well.
    • A strong understanding of English language pedagogy, including current best practices and methodologies.
    • Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment design.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
    • Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • *Must be available for morning classes. Willingness to teach evenings and weekend is a plus.
