Description

Our Client, a leading Global Shipping Company is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Marine Training Manager to take ownership of all training requirements of the senior officers on board; including career management of Engine officers and Cadets and recruitment of suitable candidates. The ideal candidate would have at least 3 years of relevant working experience and have a proven track record in planning and organizing marine training programs for senior officers and cadets.

• The candidate will work with the Competence Managers and Vessel Managers with respect to all senior engine officers' appointments as well as operational matters which impact performance.
• He/she will initiate performance action items with Senior Engine officers when required and see through the implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
• He/she will ensure all the senior officers undergo all the required STCW and the Company-specific training and play an active role in appointing the officers for assigned vessels, shore secondments, or shore-based positions.
• The candidate will ensure full compliance to company policies for Senior officers, including but not limited to Officer Matrix, Promotion criteria, promotion, performance, learning, and development.
