Minimum qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in web technologies, HTML, JS, CSS, frontend and backend.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently to manage partners who speak Japanese and English.

Preferred qualifications:


  • Experience working with and managing external partners/customers.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to various audiences.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and ability to influence crossfunctional stakeholders.
  • Excellent problemsolving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

As a Google Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest news partners.

You will collaborate with teams in Engineering, Sales, and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our internal or external clients/partners.

From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's News partnerships.


You will balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, cutting edge solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with.

In addition, you will build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's News products, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.

Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with our News Product, Engineering, and Partnership teams to develop cuttingedge solutions and provide consulting services to our news publishers to cater to client needs and build lasting relationships.
  • Propose, design, create and present prototypes, demos, and proofsofconcept to a wide variety of audiences from engineers to marketing professionals.
  • Perform implementation reviews. Advocate for new product features, and provide partner feedback to internal crossfunctional teams including Product Management and Engineering.
  • Deliver Business Intelligence. Leverage internal and external data sources to provide data insights to drive decision making.
