Mandai Wildlife Group is dedicated to caring for the planet and protecting animals and nature. Conservation education is intrinsic in all interactions with the Group, to inspire action for a healthier world.

Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore's Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

Mandai Wildlife Group advocates for biodiversity, contributes leading wildlife research, develops innovative solutions to promote living sustainably, and collaborates with conservation partners in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

The Group provides funding and in-kind support to Mandai Nature for conservation work across Southeast Asia.

Mandai X is the growth accelerator and venture building arm of Mandai Wildlife Group that sparks, catalyses and accelerates innovative ventures in completely new domains that drive growth and impact at scale.

This role manages Communication matters for Mandai Wildlife Group (operating entity) which is the steward of Singapore's wildlife parks. As the Assistant/Manager for Corporate communications, you will execute the communications strategy and support all communications functions including public relations and media management.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Garner positive media coverage and external publicity through the development and execution of communications plans to generate excitement and awareness for Mandai Wildlife Group's flagship wildlife parks.

Maintain press office duties for Singapore Zoo, River Wonders, Night Safari, Bird Paradise, including drafting of media releases, media queries, presentations and other publicity materials.

Liaise with the different teams across Mandai Wildlife Group to identify and support storytelling efforts, curate content and/or assets for owned and earned channels.

Build and cultivate media relations to enhance their understanding and support of the Mandai Wildlife Group and its flagship experiences.

Support in issues and crisis management communication, as well as stakeholder communications.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Degree in Communications

At least 3 years of relevant experience in corporate communications and/or public relations.

Understanding of multi-channel media landscape and news cycle.

A digital native and avid user of social media.

Strong writing, speaking and presentation skills.

Excellent organisational skills and detail-oriented with ability to document requirements and processes.

Personable, willing to learn, be in the thick of action, and work collaboratively with wide variety of individuals.

Experience with mass email tools (such as MailChimp), HTML, Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with FinalCut Pro, I Movie or I Photo a plus.
