    PSA has a multi-year pipeline of key civil infrastructure projects globally. This role relates to the implementation of sustainability / ESG solutions for PSA's international civil infrastructure development projects and its existing civil infrastructure. The role will involve working closely with PSA's global project teams and civil engineering colleagues.

    You will be based in Singapore with short term travel to overseas projects and terminals as required, reporting to the SVP Civil Engineering as a key member of PSA's Port Process Excellence (PPE) Civil Engineering team.

    Responsibilities

    • Be a trusted specialist advisor, provide expert advice and work closely with senior management, project stakeholders, international business units and other colleagues.
    • Be seen as a 'go to' provider of sustainability/ ESG solutions. This will require strong influencing skills and demonstration of added value.
    • Develop and oversee the implementation of PSA's sustainability / ESG management system and best practice for infrastructure development projects through all project stages (capex review, planning, design, procurement and construction).
    • Develop and oversee the implementation of PSA's ESG strategy, management system and best practice for management of existing civil infrastructure.
    • Advise on and drive the adoption of international sustainability standards and norms as appropriate (for example ISO 14000, Equator Principles 4, IFC Performance Standards and Science Based Targets).
    • Set sustainability benchmarks and KPIs in consultation with project leads and business unit teams.
    • Report on outcomes and provide regular feedback on progress, key project issues and required actions.
    • Provide hands-on support and guidance to project teams and senior management. Oversee and interact with external consultants.
    • Capacity Growth: actively contribute to strengthening the capacity of PSA's global community through PSA's global initiatives and training programmes. Train and support colleagues.

    Requirements

    Technical Requirements

    • Master's degree (MEng / MSc) in a relevant discipline.
    • Proven experience in developing and leading the implementation of sustainability (ESG) initiatives for infrastructure development, preferably for ports or other developments in coastal environments. This should include managing ESIAs and/or E&S Due Diligences for a developer, lender or consultant.
    • Proven experience in both developed and developing economies.
    • Typically, 15+ years of professional experience would be expected, albeit depending upon the type of experience.
    • Experience of applying good international industry practice for management of E&S risks
    • Knowledge of E&S reporting systems.
    • Awareness of Science Based Targets initiative and SBT for ports.

    • Self-starter, energetic, focussed. Able to work with minimal direction, to deal with multiple projects and to prioritise key tasks.
    • Evidence of being able to learn/grow in a changing sustainability field.
    • Fluent English (spoken and written).
