    The department has four key areas of focus including employee communications, corporate communications, branding and marketing, and social impact.

    Employee Communications – Inform, Align and Connect
    The Employee Communications team creates content that connects employees to the vision, purpose and strategic direction of GIC. They also manage the internal communications channel mix to deliver content to employees across all global offices.

    What impact can you make in this role?

    You will play a key role in positioning GIC as the leading global long-term investor.

    What will you do as an AVP, Employee Communications?
    This is a 6/12 month contract role with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is interested in a longer-term opportunity with our organization.

    You will report to the Senior Vice President of Employee Communications and manage our digital employee channels, including our intranet and employee content hub.

  • Manage and optimise GIC's existing internal communication channels, including the intranet and other digital communications platforms
  • Design and layout pages on our intranet, a SharePoint based site
  • Manage the intranet's homepage and content space – driving enhancements and ideas to improve the user experience and user interface
  • Contribute towards improving useability of the intranet through recommendations and working with our technology team to troubleshoot potential challenges
  • Liaise with stakeholders on their content to bring it to best-in-class internal communication standards
  • Contribute and potentially manage our dedicated internal communications mailbox
  • Write, review, and edit content from across the business in line with digital content standards
  • Work with internal collaborators and external agencies on the content creation and timely delivery of key communications activities
  • Support the broader internal communications plan with content and ideas to tell the GIC story including explaining our culture, values, strategic priorities and our change journey within the organisation
  • What makes you a successful candidate?

  • At least 5 – 6 years of relevant experience in communications disciplines with dedicated Internal/Employee Communications experience
  • Financial services background ideal but not necessary
  • Keen understanding and hands-on experience in managing internal communications channels
  • Proven track record of delivering engaging internal communications content
  • Experience working with Content Management Systems
  • Some understanding of UI/UX design is ideal as you will be responsible for designing and laying out pages on our intranet
  • Digital and technology savvy and an ability to think laterally to problem solve using technology for internal communication purposes
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal, with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to review editorial articles with a critical eye and make sound recommendations with an internal lens
  • Great stakeholder management and sound judgment
  • Strong initiative, excellent follow-through and a proactive attitude
