What the role is

What you will be working on

  • You will be part of the team spearheading the development of policies and strategies to transform the HR industry and strengthen HR practices in Singapore, as well as supporting workplace integration efforts. These will support wider workforce and business transformation efforts in Singapore's new phase of economic development.

In particular, you will:
a) Work closely with multiple stakeholders (e.g.

Government sector agencies, tripartite partners, HR industry players, IHLs) to seek collaborations and implementation of new/existing HR capability building tools and programmes for businesses and HR professionals, to better support evolving business and workforce needs and transformation efforts (e.g.

HR tech, job redesign, inclusive/age-friendly workplaces).
b) Actively monitor and understand emerging trends (e.g. HR technology) and key drivers of change and transformation in the HR employment landscape. This includes helping to shape the agenda and providing support for key HR-related events (e.g. HR Tech Festival) as well as working with relevant MOM departments and partners (e.g. IHRP, HCLI, SSG) to collect and improve quantitative and qualitative insights of the HR workforce in Singapore.
c) Engage businesses, HR professionals and trade associations & chambers to promulgate the HC agenda and gather ground sensing on HR capabilities and support required by businesses to support their growth and workforce development.

Feedback gathered will be used to further refine existing programmes/initiatives targeted at strengthening the HR profession and providing HR support for employers.

d) Support the next phase implementation of new features and insights to be delivered under the digital Workforce Insights Tool, which provides employers and HR with curated data insights on their workforce profiles and industry benchmarks.
e) Support the work of the National Integration Council for workplace integration initiatives, which will include development and implementation of new programmes or events to promote workplace integration as well as review of existing partnerships and programmes for better outcomes.


What we are looking for

  • Possess strong collaboration skills and be able to comfortably and resiliently interact with different / multiple stakeholders across Government agencies, tripartite partners and businesses so as to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Comfortable with quantitative analysis, and able to quickly grasp and synthesise feedback and input from various sources, and translate these into useful insights for policy/programme reviews.
  • Be a selfstarter and independent thinker, comfortable with taking on diverse pieces of work.
  • Prior experience in HR or industry development, policy or other related areas would be an advantage.
