Position Purpose

Risk manage and make market for the metals trading books out of APAC. The role includes being the book runner for metal products in APAC. The role is accountable for risk taking, engagement in client franchise quoting, P&L reporting and management.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

• Risk Management: Be aware of any risk that may arise in the day to day activities
• Trading Book Budgets: Achieve individual budget and global book budgets. It is a team effort so also help the rest of the team to achieve theirs. Backing up and helping colleagues
• Franchise: Always work trying to push the entire suite of products that CD can offer to our sales force and other interested teams. Work with Sales teams to develop new products where possible. Work on one off bespoke products for our key clients.
• Electronic Platform: As Cortex CD continues to get better, please make sure you monitor and perform whatever duties are required to make this a first class platform.

Contributing Responsibilities

• Contribute to Idea Generation and Market Color: Contribute to all conversations and meetings amongst colleagues or clients. Make sure you provide all views and opinions in a timely and concise manner.

Qualifications

Competencies (Technical / Behavioral)

• Relevant experience in flow market making / risk management in commodity derivative instruments in a fast paced environment; high level of team collaboration.
