    Job Title : Regional Head of Commercial
    Reporting directly to CEO

    Line manager for: Client Servicing Manager, Sales Manager

    Working closely with: Operations, Editorial, Production

    Job Summary:

    The Regional Head of Commercial will lead the team responsible for the delivery of the 3 pronged commercial goals for Branded owned events in Asia Pacific and beyond - 1) revenue generation 2) audience development and retention 3) best in class servicing and brand reputation.

    The key measure of success for this role will be securing revenue through the development of creative partnerships that deliver sponsorship and long term strategic associations for global brands accessing and influencing the entertainment industry in Asia. Priority focus is on Branded's B2B owned IP with an expert reputation in Sports, Music, Digital, Marketing and Gaming and their synergies in a global context.

    It is expected that the individual will have strategic foresight and ideas to deliver pipeline sales development, the communication and servicing skills to build valuable long-term relationships and renewals, and the leadership acumen to develop a successful, loyal and motivated sales team with a stellar reputation in the marketplace.

    The ideal candidate requires the organizational and management skills needed to oversee teams with diverse KPIs and the communication skills needed to create synergies. They must also be able to work closely and cooperatively with the Operations team on delivery and understand how to service clients to calibrate resources to revenue.

    Experience and contacts in the global sports operator and sponsor community will be favourably considered as a compliment to the knowledge skills of the existing team.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Commercial and Management

    • Responsible in conjunction with the CEO and COO for overall revenue goal setting and delivery of the revenue targets in the company growth plan.
    • Overall accountability for revenue client servicing delivery
    • Manage sales team to ensure end-to-end success and support for revenue goals from creative concept development, to proposals, to partnership delivery and client servicing.
    • Track market knowledge of the sports, gaming, marketing, digital, AI and music sectors together with the management team for opportunity analysis and implement this in a strategic and tactical plan to meet the revenue goals.
    • Ideation for tools to maintain a world-class audience experience for our B2B events.
    • Reporting, planning and analysis of audience revenue stream to CEO to develop long-term sustainable successful results.

    Sponsorship Sales Development

    • Management of a portfolio of prospective new and existing clients.
    • Development of new prospects and clients in key industry sectors as well as outside of the box thinking and creative sales solutions.
    • Lead sales team to meeting sales and renewal goals.
    • Oversee planning with other department heads to ensure that the sales team has all tools needed to effectively present and close sales proposals.

    Client Servicing

    • Represent client interests overall to deliver to the highest standard of servicing, on contract, on time and professionally, either directly or through strong team leadership.
    • Work cooperatively with operations and marketing department to meet servicing goals.
    • Ensure team's proactive contact with the client to give them feedback on their partnership with Branded – programming updates, new speakers, registration of their delegates, marketing updates etc.

    General

    • Key member of the senior management team leading the overall growth and development of the company, its products and team.
    • Head up the revenue generation machine for Branded according to the strategy outlined by the CEO.
    • Right hand person to the CEO on overall sales and marketing team management.
    • Represent Branded with excellence and professionalism in the market at all times, protecting the interests, relationships and IP of the company.
    • Contribute with ideas to the team spirit of Branded and quest for continual improvement and positioning as a leading content and event producer in Asia.

    Requirements

    • 15+ years in sales and servicing with an exemplary track record of success and excellent reputation in the market.
    • 10+ years sponsorship sales experience, with partnership deal sizes exceeding seven figures
    • Experience in Web3, Metaverse, AI with development of sales propositions
    • Asia experience and existing strong relationships particularly in China, Australia, Europe and Singapore
    • Proven track record in y.o.y. revenue growth
    • Strong financial management skills
    • Strong presentation and sales skills
    • Strong project management skills
    • Strong communication skills
    • Business education qualifications an advantage
    • Budget and forecasting experience
    • Strong knowledge of the media, AI, sports and/or consumer industries will be an advantage.
    • Strong interest in technology and how it is changing media consumption habits.
    • Proven track record in leading and managing a small team.
    • Willingness to work in an events environment that requires extraordinary commitment at key times of delivery.
    • An ideas person and team player who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and who also has the discipline to contribute and enforce the growth of a scale-able business.
    • Experience presenting and negotiating commercial agreements with C-level executives
