About this Role:

As a Volunteer Engagement Intern with Loving Heart Multi-Service Centre (LHMSC), you'll be integral to our volunteer engagement efforts.

Working closely with various departments and partner Social Service Agencies (SSAs), you'll contribute to devising and executing effective strategies for volunteer recruitment, development, and appreciation.

Your role involves analysing volunteering trends, planning collaborative campaigns, and fostering positive relations with volunteers and stakeholders. Additionally, you'll ensure compliance with data protection policies in managing volunteer information. This internship provides a valuable opportunity for individuals interested in community impact and gaining practical experience in volunteer engagement.

Job Description:

• Assist in the development and implementation of volunteer recruitment strategies.
• Support the planning and execution of volunteer development and appreciation initiatives.
• Analyse volunteering trends and identify skill gaps to inform engagement strategies.
• Collaborate with partner Social Service Agencies (SSAs) to plan and execute joint volunteerism campaigns and programmes.
• Maintain positive relations with volunteers and SSA partners to ensure a supportive environment.
• Liaise with programme and service owners to understand volunteer needs and provide assistance in volunteer management.
• Maintain accurate records of volunteer information, including training and activity logs.
• Ensure compliance with data protection policies in managing volunteer data.
• Respond promptly to volunteer inquiries and handle public inquiries related to volunteering opportunities.
• Assist in other volunteer engagement tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirement:

• Currently pursuing a degree or possessing a background in Social Sciences, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a keen interest in community engagement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Prior experience in volunteer engagement or community engagement is a plus, but not required.
