Qualifications and Certifications:
A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant certifications, such as BCSS (Building Construction Supervisor Safety), are mandatory.
Proficiency in CAD and project management software is preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
The Site Engineer (Mechanical and Steel Structures) will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various aspects of construction projects related to mechanical works and steel structures at our site in Tuas. The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supervise and manage construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulations.
Collaborate with the project team, including architects, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure the successful execution of mechanical and steel structure installations.
Review engineering plans and specifications to understand project requirements and identify potential issues.
Monitor and report project progress, identifying and resolving any deviations from the project schedule.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with safety standards.
Collaborate with quality control teams to manage and resolve quality issues promptly.
Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, and as-built drawings.
Assist in the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
Provide technical guidance to the construction team and resolve on-site technical challenges.
Assist in project cost control and budget management.
Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring all work is conducted in accordance with safety regulations.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Mandatory certification in BCSS (Building Construction Supervisor Safety).
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in site engineering for mechanical works and steel structures.
Proficiency in CAD software and project management tools preferred
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proactive problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and lead by example.
Strong time management skills and the ability to meet project deadlines.
Immediate Start: The successful candidate should be ready to start immediately to support the ongoing construction projects in Tuas.
