Legal Counsel


Job Purpose

  • You will ensure the Company's compliance with laws, regulations and policies as well as provide legal advice to Management to protect the interests of the Company.

Responsibilities

  • Be familiar with relevant laws & regulations and Company policies. Ensure compliance with relevant rules, regulations, policies and procedures
  • Formulate work processes and integrate such laws, policies as guidelines into work processes
  • Identify, manage and mitigate legal risks
  • Educate and train Business Unit on the above
  • Review policies of other departments to ensure compliance with laws, good governance
  • Be familiar with company law
  • Liaise with various regulatory authorities and external counsels
  • Review, draft, advise and negotiate different types of contracts, including tender documents, to ensure compliance with the Company's directives and policies
  • Review policies of other departments to ensure compliance with laws, good governance
  • Provide advice and support to various project teams on relevant legal issues and processes

Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Degree in law from a recognized university. Foreign qualified lawyers may apply
  • At least 5 post qualification experience
  • Preferably at least 2 years' experience in inhouse role
