Description
This role is responsible for IT governance, compliance, risk management at SIM group level. It will entails defining IT policies, procedure, processes, and guideline within the SIM group.

  • Work alongside IT team, to formulate and implement IT practise across the university.
  • Ensure IT governance and compliance are effective.
  • Point of contact for both internal and external audit and ensure any audit gaps are closed within provided timeframes.
  • Develop and operate IT governance framework providing lean and transparency delivery of audit engagement as well as compliance management
  • Provide guidance and expertise in the areas of IT governance, IT policies and standards, and effective IT risk assessment practices
  • Support the development of policy, governance, regulatory standards and processes within IT.
  • Maintain IT Documents to ensure timely review, endorsement, and publishing.
  • Contribute to the development of IT strategy
  • Manage the IT Risk Management Framework and ensure alignment within SIM.
  • Work with process owners to establish and operate an effective governance and management of relevant policies, guidelines, standards and procedures
  • Drive and manage the development, review and reporting of IT related reports to senior management
  • Work with management on continuous assessment of IT governance and risk management, identify gaps and develop action plans to address them
  • Ensure that all changes are tracked within the rightfully change management procedure.
  • Maintain an effective communication with stakeholders at different level of the organization through both, established governance and communication
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma/Degree in Information Systems or equivalent
  • Have at least 7 years of experience in the IT Governance or IT Security Governance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including syndicating IT topics with technical and nontechnical employees
  • Excellent interpersonal, strong people management and communication skills both written and oral with proven ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Preferred to have strong IT governance experience
  • Able to have holistic view, able to bridge people, process and information in order to produce appropriate results; ability to see beyond the dot.
  • Strong stakeholder management, problemsolving and decision making.
  • A selfstarter to learn and broaden knowledge to continuously add values to the organization.
  • IT Audit and risk management background will be preferred
