    Description
    Roles & Responsibilities

    Listed on the Catalist board of the Singapore Exchange (SGX), Hyphens Group has a direct presence in Singapore (HQ), Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and is supplemented by a marketing and distribution network covering additional jurisdictions like Hong Kong, Myanmar, Brunei, Cambodia, Oman and Bangladesh, South Korea and China. Hyphens Pharma is looking for a Finance Manager to support its operations in Singapore.

    Accounting and tax reporting

    • Provide guidance and support to finance team on monthly closing.
    • Timely and accurate submission of monthly financial & management accounts.
    • Liaise with tax consultants on accurate and on-time preparation and submission of tax returns to the relevant authorities.
    • Ensure that record keeping complies with legislative requirements.
    • Liaise with external auditors and professional advisors on related matters.

    Financial controls

    • Ensure smooth and accurate finance cash flows
    • Accounts payable management and timely payment to suppliers
    • Develop and implement financial SOP to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
    • Implement internal controls and processes which can enhance the operational and financial/accounting efficiencies.

    Financial planning & analysis

    • Analyse monthly actual performance compared to budget and reasons for variances.
    • Report regularly on key performance indicators.
    • Assist in the annual budgeting process.
    • Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances.

    Finance support

    • Provide finance support and guidance to offshore colleagues.
    • Provide regular updates on business performance.
    • Support Business Heads in performance analysis and identify issues affecting achievement of business objectives.

    Requirements

    • Diploma, ACCA or Degree in Finance or Accounting with a recognised accounting qualification such as Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant.
    • Have at least 8+ years of progressive experience in the finance & accounting functions in a mid-sized corporation.
    • Having worked for a medical, pharmaceutical or healthcare corporation is an added advantage.
