Description
Roles & Responsibilitieso To perform weekly and daily ordering of ingredients for individual sections
o Supervise all bakery activities to ensure dishes are prepared in accordance to the established recipes
o Prepare ingredients and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
o Ensure the highest standard of cleanliness in the kitchen at all times
o Train new employees in order to ensure consistency in food presentation, taste and texture
o Appraise the performance of the subordinate and make recommendations for promotions or other actions
o Co-ordinate and oversee the receiving/collection of delivery of materials from suppliers
o Set-up for new restaurant
o Make reports on all matters pertaining to kitchen operation
o Menu planning & costing
o Creating new product and recipes
o Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and observe all guidelines pertaining to the handling and preparation of orders
Job Requirements
Ø Should be willing to work in a fast-paced environment especially when the business demands are high.
Ø Must be a team player and be willing to help out where ever necessary in the kitchen sometimes when other members are unwell or not able to come.
Ø Self-motivated and self-directed
Ø Able to work early mornings, nights, and weekends
Ø Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Ø Physical endurance to stand for an entire shift
Ø The ability to work under pressure
Ø Willing to work within opening hours (e.g Evenings, weekends & Public holidays) especially midnight whenever require
