- Engage in material characterization metrology, including Ellipsometer Spectroscopic, Raman Spectroscopy, X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy, and Scanning Electron Microscopy.
- Collaborate on team focusing to support measurement focus on media Carbon overcoat characterization.
- Conduct material science lab testing, operate analytical instruments, and analyze thin film material properties.
- Provide technical and engineering support, contributing to the successful completion of complex analytical projects.

- Experience in programming languages (e.g., MATLAB, Python, SQL, JMP) and proficiency in data analysis and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.

RMO Material Science Laboratory's primary mission is to provide analytical test solutions to enable media and on product yield, quality, and reliability. The team also serves a critical role on HDM tribology, contamination, and defect reduction, working closely with and enabling other functions in the disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical, Recording Technology, R&D, Customer Integration, and Manufacturing.
