At our nursing homes, we develop services and deliver care with our residents at heart, especially those with dementia and other conditions requiring round-the-clock care.


In this role as a Social Care Associate, you shall work with other care staff to conduct engagement activities to improve well-being, cognitive function and social participation of the seniors in our nursing home.

You are responsible for ensuring that nursing home residents are meaningfully engaged through activities that take into account their interests, habits and therapeutic goals.

  • Engage residents and family members frequently to gain insights and create engagement activities to support the residents' therapeutic and social wellbeing objectives.
  • Conduct daily engagement activities with the residents on an individual or group basis.
  • Support therapeutic and social well being objectives of care plans through active engagement of the residents.
  • Develop activities for residents according to their preferred choice of activities (e.g. cooking, hobbies and games).
  • Perform delegated administrative work in the relevant areas of job scope such as systematic recording of engagement activities to facilitate reviews and analysis
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • Preferably "N" level qualification or at least 2 years of experience in customer service, programme planning or facilitating activities
  • Passionate to serve the elderly
  • Pleasant disposition, approachable and has a service oriented personality
  • Selfmotivated individual who is willing to learn and has a growth mindset
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Proficient in Google Suite Workspace Applications (Gmail, Google sheet, Google doc)

Other Information:


Additional Advantageous Skills:

  • Prior exposure in healthcare or social work settings or as an individual caregiver to your own loved ones would be advantageous
  • Ability to speak other languages including Mandarin and dialects, Tamil, Malay will be advantageous.

The employee may be required to work on some weekends and weekday evenings to conduct engagement activities and cater to residents' needs.
