    What you will be doing.

    As QHSE Coordinator, you will assist with roll-out, implementation and ensuring compliance with ABL Group policies, manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidance and instruction with business units. You will also be assisting with the management of compliance with ISO9001/ ISO14001/ ISO 45001 including HSE legal and other requirements that are observed throughout the business unit.
  • Assist with effective rollout and implementation of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) policies, manuals and procedures as communicated by the Group QHSE Director / Regional QHSE Manager.
  • Assist the implementation of initiatives and programs aimed to inculcate ABL's commitment to the quality, safety, and sustainability of environment, social and governance (ESG).
  • Legal Compliance:
  • Review the legal register and assist with ensuring HSE legal compliance for the local country and across the business unit.
  • QHSE KPI Performance:
  • Assist in QHSE adherence and performance monitoring through timely submission of reports and conduct management reviews. Assist in the implementation of regional objectives and timely reporting of QHSE KPI's to the QHSE Manager and Country Manager.
  • Audits:
  • Assist with the preparation of QHSE system internal and external audits. Conduct the scheduled internal audit and project spot checks.
  • Assist in follow-up and close-out audit actions, corrective and preventive measures, opportunities for improvement and areas of concern.
  • Accident Reporting:
  • Assist in reporting accidents, incidents, and near-misses to the Group QHSE Director / Regional QHSE Manager / Country Manager and relevant line management and assist with investigations, implementation, follow up and close out of corrective measures.
  • Bid Management:
  • Assist Bid Leaders and Project Managers with the preparation and implementation of Contract Reviews and QHSE Plans when required.
  • Freelancer and Suppliers Management:
  • Monitor suppliers/subcontractors at premises briefed of requirements and review/monitor their performance as required.
  • Maintain Freelancer and ASL register, ensure it is aligned with the ABL freelancers and suppliers management procedures.
  • Training:
  • Assist in ensuring the required QHSE Induction and other safety training are delivered to all staff/subcontractors and records of this are maintained up to date.
  • Assist in ensuring the required Safety Training and ABL Inhouse Training are attended by staff as required.
  • Office Safety:
  • Assist in completing safety inspections of the office and ensure all OHS requirements applicable for ABL locations as per ABL-MAN-04 & 05 HSE Manuals have been established and implemented.
  • Assist in emergency response arrangements for the office - fire drills organized, desktop emergency response reviews held, first aid, etc. implemented. Act as a house safety officer / fire warden / nominate trained first aider for the office.
  • Staff Participation & Communication:
  • Coordinate and facilitate QHSE staff meetings, committee meetings and management reviews. Assist in improving the utilization of HELP Cards and improve safety culture among the staff.
  • Voice of Customers:
  • Plan and undertake customer feedback surveys as per ABL Group schedule. Assist in reporting client compliments, and client complaints to the Group QHSE Director / Regional QHSE Manager / Country Manager and relevant line management and assist with investigations of negative feedback, implementation, follow up and close out of corrective measures.
  • Accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
  • Travel within the APAC region for internal audits and onsite attendance (for chargeable jobs).
  • Flexibility to work hours, with the possibility to work on Public Holiday and Weekend days.
  • And other duties as assigned.
  • What we are looking for.

  • Technical Degree/Diploma or equivalent
  • Member of IOSH or any local country workplace safety council or equivalent.
  • Internal training of ABL QHSE management system.
  • ISO9001/14001/45001 Auditor
  • Experience in, and knowledge of, QHSE practices and procedures, current legislative requirements, and experience with QHSE systems, procedures, and practice.
  • There will be a high degree of client contact and successful candidates will possess good communication and reporting skills.
  • Report writing is an integral part of the role and fluency in English is essential.
