Description

Environmental Control Officer (ECO)

Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Safety department and operations team to develop, implement, maintain and improve WSHE Management Systems.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure all site activities are carried out in accordance to MOM safety requirements and all workers comply with safety regulations
Perform safety audits and inspection of worksites to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance Identify and recommend best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce ECO risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices
Responsible for accident reporting and investigations including near misses and any industrial disease contracted in the project
Identify environmental issues and recommend measures to rectify the irregularities
All other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

Good knowledge of WSH Act and other WSH related
At least 5 years relevant experience in the construction industry
