Where you fit in


The Corporate Relations (CR) Adviser, Mobility, will report to the Deputy Head and Media Relations Lead, and is a key member of the CR Team for Shell Singapore.

The CR Adviser works closely with the relevant businesses to enable the wider Mobility strategy, including the related Lubricants, Sectors & Decarbonisation - Construction & Road strategies, through the delivery of all aspects of strategic external and internal communications, government relations and advocacy.

You will also manage media relations, as well as digital and social media for your business portfolio.


What's the role?

  • Establish strong relationships with Shell Mobility, Lubricants and Sectors & Decarbonisation
  • Construction & Road business leaders and provide strategic CR counsel.
  • Develop, own, and execute the corporate relations strategies and plans for these businesses, while ensuring consistency with the overall objectives of Shell Singapore's country reputation plan for the sectors involved as well as the company's global plans. This will also involve management of government relations, as well as policy & regulatory advocacy where needed.
  • Delivery and implementation of the corporate relations strategies and plans would include defining:
  • Objectives of engagement
  • Narratives and messaging
  • Relevant internal and external stakeholders (public, government, staff, media etc.)
  • Risks, mitigation, and issues that may impact reputation
  • Support communications needs arising from issues and country crisis management.

What we need from you
Skills & Experience

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of trends shaping the energy industry, energy transition, and climate change issues.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing integrated communications and government engagement strategies and programmes;
  • Proven experience in managing the media, as well as digital and social media channels.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management and engagement.
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience with at least 9 years in corporate communications or corporate affairs role (inhouse or PR consultancy).
  • Excellence in listening, influencing, and communication, including writing and engagement skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that build positive and trustbased relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong experience in handling sensitive and confidential matters with integrity and discretion.
  • Strong ability to maintain levelheadedness in the event of crisis.
  • Ability to work independently, balance competing priorities and manage workload.
